About this artwork

Mother Nature now rules an area once developed as an auto race track. This was supposed to be the next Indianapolis 500. The race track failed. For years, dirt bikes and other RV's savaged the abandoned racing lanes and oak woods. Today I walk along the old roadways, through watery upland springs, into woodland rife with Pagoda Dogwood and Fringed Gentian. Great Blue Lobelia and Cardinal Flower now grow where exhaust fumes once clogged the air. It is an improvement on the original plan, well worth painting. This piece is on gallery wrapped canvas and the painting continues around the sides. It comes varnished, wired, and ready to hang.
