“I saw a lone house on the prairie, guarded by one tall tree. A small road led me in and further back toward the horizon. A hint of other house tops beckoned in the distance. It was midsummer. The prairie grasses were green; the sky a deep cerulean blue. Sun slanted across the road, throwing shadows and highlights on the house.” This painting is varnished, wired and ready to hang. The sides are finished with a continuation of the image.
