About this artwork

Aquariums are impressionist paintings waiting to be painted. A side note: There is documented evidence of mermaid: the journal of Capt. John Smith of Pocahontas fame. In 1614 he was swimming in the West Indies and struck up a conversation with a green-haired woman who was “by no means unattractive.” Afterward, she turned to dive awa, and, he saw, to his amazement, that she had the tail of a fish.
