About this artwork
This nocturne painting was inspired by one of Faye's visits to Paris. I take hundreds of photos when traveling, Faye says, and look at them back in my studio to determine if they would make an interesting painting. Using my 'artistic license', I eliminate some things and exaggerate others, adding elements of interest, a little splash of light here, a pop of color there. The warm light, reflections and active brushwork create the perfect venue for the man and his dog on their 'Night Walk.'
