About this artwork

I often take a drive down to Big Sur for the day. It's less than two hours from the San Francisco Bay, and is incredibly inspiring for me as the sweeping views remind me of my native New Zealand. The windswept cliffs, rugged ocean and plentiful wildflowers are an artist's dream, and I never get tired of capturing them in a gestural fashion with my palette knives! The sides are painted with continuous colors, and it is wired, ready to hang.
