About this artwork

Sherri posed her model, Alana, in her backyard on a beautiful spring morning. She was especially interested in portraying the bright, glistening sunlight as it touched Alana's hat and shoulders. Sherri used a combination of palette knives and brushes to create a slightly textured surface.
