About this artwork

From my series called Lessons from Winter, inspired by my process of discovering and embracing the beauty, mystery, and warmth of the coldest and darkest season of the year. This piece is a little different from the others in the series, inspired by the wonder and mysteries of the sea, and my anticipation of exploring Cape Breton Island in Nova Scotia that same winter.
