About this artwork

A powerful wave advances toward the beach with rolling water and seaspray. Artist Mitch Davis-Mann left the background as raw linen, creating a contrast of hues and tones. I wanted to capture the brief crashing moment of the ocean while creating a high contrast with the linen left untouched, says Mitch.
