About this artwork
In this painting I'm thinking about composition, color harmony and just the stand alone beauty of paint application. How do pieces of a still life live in their environment so it makes sense as a whole? Where are the edges soft and blurred? Where do they need to be sharp? I strived to convey all of this and of course, just how much I love roses!
