About this artwork

Artist James Hartman says this tranquil landscape was inspired by a stay at these cabins at the edge of Clear Lake in northern California. While there, he completed a small plein air oil sketch. James was highly drawn to the light filtering through the trees onto the little cabins. He created this larger version in his studio.
