This painting was inspired by the artist's numerous trips to Europe. It is a compilation of photographs, memory and sensory experiences which the artist has used to convey the peacefulness of a late sunny afternoon. I love painting scenes with backlighting! says Faye, In arranging this composition, I couldn't decide between including a father and son, or a young woman and her dog, so I added both. When thinking of a title, 'Buddy' just seemed to fit!
