About this artwork

A quiet cove, almost an island, on an Illinois river. Tall cherry and oak trees cast reflections in the still water. Sumac was turning red on the shore. It's one of my favorite places to paint. An October palette of ocher and sienna is everywhere. This piece is on gallery wrapped canvas and the painting continues around the sides. It comes varnished and ready to hang.
