About this artwork

A sweeping landscape of an illuminated valley at sunset. Mist-covered trees in the distance point up to a stormy sky. Dramatic shades of blue and green hover over earthy yellows, oranges and browns in the foreground. Artist George Peebles is known for his glowing autumn landscapes and panoramic ocean vistas. He enjoys painting brief, dramatic moments in nature. George draws on his surroundings in Michigan but ultimately paints entirely from his imagination.
