About this artwork

Artist Jennifer Ross presents a pair of blue bird's eggs nestled together in a woven refuge. Jennifer skillfully creates a textured surface by delicately arranging layers of eggshell fragments before applying her paint. I take inspiration from the Japanese art form of Kintsugi, where broken objects are repaired and considered more beautiful with their imperfections.
