About this artwork
Layers of texture and meaning, this little mixed media piece of two eggs in a nest on a black background. The eggs are paper maps cut out. collaged and shaded to create dimension. The nest is built up with an acrylic medium that Jennifer sculpts to replicate nest material and then adds actual sticks and twigs collected on her hikes. Even the background has broken eggshells adhered to the canvas and continued onto the sides.
