About this artwork

Artist Ian Hargrove presents an abstract display of evening light slowly waning at the end of the day. He captures the fractal beams on a concrete wall in predominantly cool and tonal shades. I was inspired by Monet and his many paintings of the same subject in different lighting, shares Ian. True to his signature style, he applies bright multi-layered patterns of color. The piece is one of two studies of the same subjectÑthe other being Golden HourÑobserving and capturing various light interactions at different times of the day. Ian suggests that they go together to complete the narrative.
