About this artwork
This body of work, The Light Within, is inspired by Leonard Cohen's “Anthem” - “Ring the bells that still can ring, Forget your perfect offering. There is a crack in everything, That's how the light gets in.” What are we to do but embrace our imperfections and let our inner light shine through, guiding our path. The artwork is painted with acrylic, charcoal, and cold wax. It is embellished with gold leaf, and has a rusted surface underneath.
