About this artwork

A speckled wild bird’s egg sits before a brilliant blue background. Jennifer titled this series from a quote by James Allen, The greatest achievement was at first and for a time a dream. The oak sleeps in the acorn; the bird waits in the egg; and in the highest vision of the soul a waking angel stirs. Dreams are the seedlings of realities. The egg is formed by collaging real eggshells onto the canvas and then Jennifer paints over to add color, dimension and the effect of the egg just starting
