About this artwork

I imagined a bird's nest built on a horse's back, shares artist Jennifer Ross. Using broken eggshells, Jennifer intricately collaged the pieces to form the stoic animal and the egg in the nest. Jennifer draws inspiration from the Japanese art of Kintsugi, repairing broken pottery with gold to create something that is more beautiful because of its imperfection, not despite it.
