About this artwork
The Painted Buntings have always been a favorite bird. As a child I went to the library and asked for the big Audubon book at the desk. Later I acquired a copy and these paintings represent my favorite images done in the book's style, but in oils on beeswax prepared linen that is stretched over a cradled panel. Learning to see life's simple beauty. Edges are black and cable is ready.
