About this artwork
This is a painting of trees in the hills of California: This one began with a home made cradled birch panel that I stretched with linen. This was then used as the base for my encaustic painting with beeswax, oils and blow torches. The nice thing about encaustic paintings is that they can occasionally be buffed to a high polish with a soft cotton cloth. The edges are painted black, the painting has a cable attached.
