About this artwork

This piece is part of a series I had completed on migrant workers. The image depicts a man who had lost two of his limbs in a train accident while crossing the border. The image was created in a subtractive process, where I begin by laying down a layer of medium and bringing out the image using erasers, paper cloths, and my fingers. The piece has been sprayed with fixative but caution should be taken when handling the piece as it is delicate.
