About this artwork

Yellow victorian on a quiet street in Cary, North Carolina. Bright spring light shines from the right, illuminating the new growth in the yard and casting an array of shadows across the structure. I discovered this gem during a plein air outing, says Laura. I took a lot of pictures and notes, and sketches first, then I started the painting in the studio. I love the structure and color of the building.
