About this artwork

My purpose in this work was to fill the space with color, with only minimal adherence to strict representation. The entire piece is constructed around the large curve of the stream, which ends at the horizon and is bisected by the many verticals. The linear elements here are also important, as is the blue underpainting which is visible in some places. This is a landscape which has taken several steps toward abstraction. The sides are painted brown, and it comes wired and ready to hang.
