About this artwork

Inspired by artist Carey Parks' summer trip, Carey paints a house on the Island of Oléron along the southwest coast of France. Nestled among trees, the white walls punctuate the dominant brown shades from the surrounding foliage and ground. The warm palette creates a tranquil ambiance to the scene.
