About this artwork

Two sailboats moored in a small harbor at sunrise. The morning sun just crests the horizon, casting rich and uncommon colors across the scene. Part of Kip's ongoing series of waterscapes. He captures ponds, lakes and open waters at all times of the day, playing up the changing color palette and lighting conditions. Kip focuses less on specific places than the overall feeling of the scene.
