About this artwork

This Fauve-inspired work makes use of two dominant sets of contrasting colors: yellow/violet and blue/orange. This projects and amplifies the colors within the composition. I kept the brushwork loose, and only included detail where absolutely necessary. The trees, for example, are rendered in a single color with one brush to keep them from becoming too busy and distracting. The people are also merely suggestions rather than realistic. The sides are painted brown, and it comes ready to hang.
