About this artwork

With this more lyrical and gestural piece, I want to focus on movement and its evocative power. I aim to take the viewer on a visual trip around the surface, with each brushstroke leading the way to the next. The various greens, turquoises and emerald hues, vibrant and luminous, come together with blacks and whites acting as binding agents to the whole composition. Here, the evocative appeal of the work's formal qualities is an open door to connect to one's own experience and memories.
