About this artwork
This piece is influenced by Japanese art. I started with intricate design between the bird and the flower. The branches display movement and abstract line work. The negative space is used in the both background and foreground to create a flow within the entire piece. The simple shapes within the bird give the piece a modern twist. The vivid colors compliment the gold painted background.
