About this artwork

Seeming light as air, the soft blends of color in this painting are created with layer upon layer of transparent and translucent pigment. The result is atmospheric luminosity and a sense of depth and quiet mystery. The piece is varnished and wired for hanging. It has been created on a wood panel constructed with a 2 cradle. The colors on the face continue around the deep edges making this painting ready to be hung without framing.
