About this artwork

What do Elephants Dream is an original still life watercolor painted in the realist tradition. It is a dream still life composed of tulips with an elephant taking a sniff. The variation of color in the background was created by sprinkling salt upon the wet watercolor paint. Thus creating a dream like mood. Proper scale of the subjects have been purposely ignored.
