About this artwork

This scene is from one of my many road trips. Scenes like this get me in trouble sometimes. The narrowing, winding road makes me want to go see where it goes. Stuck in snow banks, trapped on roads that abruptly end without a turn around, trucks that take more than their share of a one car lane...these are the challenges to capturing wonderful scenes like this but they are worth it. I loved the way the light filtered through the trees and made its way onto the white front of the home. The road and shadows lead the eye to the front focal area but also provide interest leading to the background. This painting has been created with professional artist grade paints on Arches fine watercolor paper. It will require framing for display.
