About this artwork

Tucked away in a small local park is this sweet red bridge. When I set out to paint this piece, I intentionally isolated the red of the bridge and surrounded it by variations of its compliment, green. In order to more effectively enhance the focal point, I contrasted the smooth surface of the bridge with a highly textured surrounding landscape. This painting is lightly varnished.
