About this artwork

Driving north along the Pacific Coast Highway from Los Angeles on a late summer evening the artist reached Point Mugu as the sun lowered itself into a misty bank of rose. Steep rollers paced themselves, standing up sharply in shifting forests of shadow before caroming against the shore in a glitter of foam.
