About this artwork

This piece was inspired by some of Malia's recent studies of Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec, in particular, his profile sketches. Painted in various shades of Old Holland red and pastel pink paint, the brushstrokes feature so well in this portrait. It is painted on a beautiful American Easel Gessoed Wood Painting Panel showing off its unvarnished birch wood sides.
