About this artwork

Water has always been one of my strongest connections to nature. My astrological sign being a Pisces, it makes sense I am drawn to water. As a child and young adult, I found sitting by ponds, especially koi ponds, to be exceptionally relaxing. In this painting I paired my love and enjoyment of water with the dissatisfaction with life and sometimes insatiable hunger that we humans struggle with. This condition is represented by the grumpy cat in the boat.
