About this artwork

This abstract landscape was not named after the famous Call of the Wild novel by Jack London. Rather, it was a poem by the Bard of the Yukon Robert W. Service, that evokes images of canyons where the rapids rip and roar, as my painting may. It is one of a series that I have loosely called Art Whitewater, which may mean different things to different people. The sides of the canvas are painted black and a protective coat of satin varnish is applied. I also attach a wire for hanging.
