Kevin Perlic. Sioux Falls, South Dakota.
Kevin Perlic found photography to be a means of capturing the world around him. Kevin seeks the beautiful in nature and life by peering through the lens of his camera. With a snap of the shutter and his own artistic manipulations, Kevin captures the true essence of the environment. While he loves to take photos in and around the Mid-West, he also document the travels he embarks on with his wife. He received his Bachelor of Arts from Cleveland State University.

He uses his computer to blend memories and images from the “information super highway” into his interpretation of nature.
Sheila Finch. Redwood City, California
Living and painting from her boat, Sheila Finch gathers scenes from the sea to build a repertoire of visually stunning images. Her skyscapes show the acumen of a painter who knows water. Her art floats between the ethereal realm of abstraction and the concrete texture of realism. Andrea Epstein. Berkeley Heights, New Jersey
Andrea Epstein layers shape, texture, color, and form as an ode to the abstract expressionist tradition. By combining various relief printing techniques such as collographs and linocuts, Andrea embarks on an unchartered journey of self-discovery and artistic expression. Serigraphy and monoprinting allow Andrea to achieve a variety of textures and colors unknown to paint. Her prints are literal representations of the creative process. She received a B.F.A. in painting from the Rhode Island School of Design and an M.F.A. in painting from the Yale School of Art.
Fernando Garcia. Cape Coral, Florida
Fernando Garcia says, “Abstract art is the picture of human emotions.” He is a self-taught, established Cuban artist who has worked with acrylics for over 15 years. His bright colors and quirky abstractions are the direct result of human emotions, sensibility, and positive energy. Fernando is compelled to create abstract art because of the creative freedoms the style offers.
Samuel Smith. Alpine, Utah
Rhyme is as essential for a landscape painter as it is for a poet. Samuel Smith has mastered the art of rhyming color rather than sound. His impressionist landscapes capture the minutiae in nature unlike any other art form. Samuel Smith says, “I believe that beauty can inspire us to more peaceful and meaningful existence.”
New Artist Spotlight: Terence Donovan and Megan Marden
Every Thursday, we welcome a batch of new artists and artwork to UGallery. This blog series highlights our newest artists. The pair this week reach back to their roots to give our new art a nice retro feel.

Mansions, old cars, and good ole landscapes turn Terence’s collection into an iconic and extensive survey of American life.
Megan Marden. Danbury, Connecticut
Megan Marden ensures her childhood memories will never become extinct with humorous renditions of plastic dinosaurs. She plays with reality through a loose interpretation of these common children’s toys. Digging up the emotions of her past, Megan paints dinos in order to ease the growing pains of getting older. She paints the most colorful and provocative objects laying in her studio in order to experiment with scale, color, and the nostalgic sentiments innate with such an ubiquitous motif.
