A collection of Norman Rockwell paintings helped foster Anastasia Pimentel’s love of art. Anastasia began taking art classes at the age of five and chose pastel as her primary medium. The Virginia-based artist enjoys depicting landscapes and people.
She explains more about her process:
I try to make all my paintings tell stories, using light, shape, and color to direct the viewer. I try to indicate action in a still painting so viewers can use their imagination to fill in the blanks from the context.
