Warren Keating creates intriguing portraits of unidentified people walking as seen from above. He captures these fleeting moments in a style he calls “Pixelated Impressionism."
For our From Where I Create series, Warren shared photos of his studio with us and told us more about his process:
I capture the inspiration for my aerial portraits by leaning over hotel balconies and bridges around the world to record digital video of my subjects walking from overhead. Back in my Encino studio, I use the reference to create expressive figure paintings in oil on canvas.
