Here at UGallery, we’re counting down the days to the Affordable Art Fair! Three. See, I told you we were counting.
We’re very excited to exhibit a mixture of new and returning artists at AAF, none more so than the magical Warren Keating. You can find Warren’s work on UGallery here.
Warren Keating’’s paintings start with documentation. He captures subjects on video from birds-eye views, digitizes the film on his computer and, finally, paints them on canvas in an active style he describes as Pixel Impressionism. He merges artistic elements of the 20th Century with 21st Century technology.
Warren credits Futurism as well as Richard Diebenkorn and Willem de Kooning as influences in his paintings. He currently lives in Encino, California. Fun fact: Warren’s inspiration for this series came from a vacation to Paris where he photographed passersby from his hotel balcony in Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
The Affordable Art Fair is held at the Metropolitan Pavilion from March 25 to 29th. Pop by if you’re in New York! (we’re booth 1.2)
