Affordable Art Fair 2015 Recap

We had quite a week at the Affordable Art Fair! Every year UGallery makes the pilgrimage to the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City to set up shop as a brick-and-mortar art gallery. Now that we’re back on the Best Coast - and for the most part caught up on sleep and work - we’d love to share some of our favorite moments from the week that was.

1. Piero’s mural

One of our most popular artists, Piero Manrique, was selected as Amazon Art’s Artist-in-Residence for the fair. What does that mean? Piero dazzled on-lookers all week with his live mural painting. Don’t worry, we caught the whole thing on video! Here’s five days of painting condensed into 21 seconds:

2. We sold a lot of art

Lots of happy customers means we did our job! Here’s the same wall, 24 hours a part. New Yorkers sure like their Jim Zwadlo’s!

3. Our artists joined us

While we brought work from eight artists, we were fortunate to have three artists show up in the flesh. While, Piero, a local New Yorker, was the Artist-in-Residence, Jonelle Summerfield drove in from Pennsylvania and Diane Flick flew all the flew from San Francisco. We couldn’t have been happier to have them!
